The Haze Gray Paint Touch-Up Kit contains one quart of authentic haze gray exterior paint — the specific gray used on every U.S. Navy vessel in the fleet — along with a 2-inch brush, a stir stick, and a laminated recipe card for Chip and Paint Saturdays, the beloved underway tradition in which sailors spend their weekend chipping rust off painted surfaces and then immediately repainting them in haze gray, which will rust again, which they will chip and repaint on the following Saturday.
The paint is formulated for metal and masonry. It works on cars, houses, fences, garage doors, patio furniture, and the interior of any room you have decided should feel like an engineering space. Finish is satin. Coverage is 40 square feet per quart. Drying time is two hours, which is faster than Chip and Paint Saturday will feel.
The Air Force paints their buildings beige. Beige is a color associated with the civilian world, real estate staging, and the temporary suppression of strong opinions. Haze gray is a color associated with something that goes to sea and comes back. There is a meaningful difference and we have priced it accordingly at $19.99.

- Not food-grade. The paint is for surfaces. Surfaces are defined as anything that is not your mouth.

Painted my truck. Not the whole truck — just a scratch on the door. Now the scratch is the right color and also I cannot stop touching it because it is the exact right color. This was $20. I have no complaints.
I used this to touch up my fence and then my shed and then about half of my garage. The recipe card for Chip and Paint Saturday is accurate and also funny and also sad. Good product.
