The Satellite Telemetry Desk Mat is an oversized 36×18-inch desk surface printed with a Robinson projection world map, twelve orbital ground track lines in varying inclinations, and a header bar reading 'ORBITAL DOMAIN AWARENESS WORKSTATION — UNCLASSIFIED' in sans-serif all-caps. Twelve fictional satellite designators are printed at node crossing points across the map: designations like DELTA-7, MERIDIAN-4, and HELIOS-KILO-2 that look convincing from across a conference table and do not correspond to any actual system, which is the correct level of operational security for a desk mat.
The mat ships with one holographic foil tracking sticker bearing the words 'ACTIVE CONSTELLATION' and a dot-matrix satellite icon. Placement of the sticker is at the operator's discretion. Our recommended location is the top-right corner of the mat, where it will catch ambient lighting from most office configurations and subtly communicate that you are tracking something. You are, in the broadest sense, always tracking something. The sticker acknowledges this.
The base is 3mm natural rubber, non-slip, and edge-stitched to prevent curling or fraying over the extended console watch cycles for which this product was designed. The print is UV-laminated against fading. The orbital tracks are accurate in general inclination and inaccurate in specific positioning, which is the correct balance between authenticity and operational discretion.

- The satellite designators on this mat are fictional and do not represent actual classified or unclassified USSF assets. If a civilian asks which satellites these are, the correct answer is 'the important ones.'
- The holographic sticker is included once and is not replaceable. Apply with intention. The sticker has one life and it should be a good one.
After-Action Reports
I placed the holographic sticker on DELTA-7 because it felt right. My supervisor saw it and asked if it was marking an actual asset. I said it was. He has not questioned it since. Five stars.
The 'ORBITAL DOMAIN AWARENESS WORKSTATION — UNCLASSIFIED' header has caused three separate visitors to my office to lower their voices when they enter. This was not the product's intended effect but it is the product's greatest achievement.
The mat is quality. The orbital tracks look great. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out if MERIDIAN-4 was real before I remembered I work in space operations and should know. It is not real. Three stars for making me doubt my own branch knowledge.
